This is the place to talk about your cute little guinea pigs. I own two myself, Lucy and Sally. They are still babies that I adopted at 5 weeks old. I'm fairly new to the cavy world but learning a lot with my two little girls. I would love to receive advice from anyone that's willing to give it. Please post whatever you feel appropriate for the cavy world. Don't forget to add your own stories and pictures too!

I used to have guinea pigs but turned out to be allergic to the hay they need to eat, so I cannot have them anymore. But I love them a lot. They are so cute.

Before I knew I was allergic I had bought a baby guinea pig. He was all black and had a little crest on top of his head. I named him Cody. He was such a baby, even had his own baby blanket that he would snuggle in to sleep on me when we watched tv. Sadly he died at 1 1/2 years old from being too fat. He did love to eat.

Oh No! Poor baby! Too Fat? Your kidding, he died from that? I hope Lucy and Sally never have that problem because they like to eat too, especially grass!

Hey Connie, Well your guinea pig will not get fat by eating grass, because, pretty much everything is good in moderation! (that goes for people too, so go ahead, eat a little chocolate! LOL!) The things that make guinea pigs fat is crackers, cheese, table scraps, things like that. So I would really never give her things like that. Another thing is that you need to have you guinea pigs out of the cage for at least 30 min. to and hour every day. And take them outside if you do not have Any chemicals on your lawn, (tip: I would not let them down to walk around while their still little, because the can run....FAST! so I would wait till they weigh a pound or so, Amby half a pound) well I guess I will let you go know.

ya, I guess it was. Ruby is a slim trim guinea pig, I take her outside and she runs like the wind! she gets a bath every month, she sure does live a full life! another thing, is I am an obsessive person, I am a clean and neat freak, I clean her cage, everyday! LOL! So I think that she wil be very happy. Another thing, I HATE ANYTHING with chemicals, I cant stand them! So my house is an all natural, very clean, very neat house! LOL! Melody

Melody You sound just like me obsessive! I'm a cleaning nut too! Everything in my home has to be spic and span or I'm not happy! I clean Lucy and Sally's cage daily too and I think that makes them very happy piggies
