love the lights; snow is lovely too;we had about 45cm last January; that was the most I'd ever seen, but they say it was abnormal for this area:

Beautiful, just beautiful. I wish I had the scenery you have to look at, unfortunatly I don't and the snow is expcted here by tommorrow sometime. Right now we are under a ice warning. Yesterday it was almost 70 degrees and today under ice warning if that is any clue lol. For several days I have had windows open for fresh air, but that seems to be all over with now. They are not willing to predict the amount of snow we are expecting, and so I have no idea. But I guess it does not matter since I can't drive anywhere anyway. I just wish I had some snow boots for walking. I know this year I will need them. I can feel it.

Thanks, both of you! Yes, the snow is very pretty but not much fun to drive in, that's for sure It's been freezing temps here, in the teens.....burrrrr....so the snow is compact on the roads when the road crews don't get to it before the traffic does. I had to pick up my son from work at Petco Tuesday morning at 1:00AM (he has freight night on Mondays and usually works till 2:00AM) and the main roads were all compacted snow and ice. I drove about 20 mph all the way there with the snow falling. It's suppose to snow more today, tonight and up to Friday they say. Seattle area got hit pretty hard with a lot of accidents reported before the road crews finally de-iced the roads. We took some cute pics of the dogs today on the deck. I'll post some in the Dog section as soon as I get them uploaded. Buddy loves the snow and wants Scruffy to play with him but Scruffy doesn't want any part of it

thats the only trouble with snow; I was terrified when I had to drive in it; stayed in 2nd gear all the way to work; had a nasty smash up on, black ice once; turned the car over; I wasn't hurt bad; just shook up but it put me off for life; Here we can walk to the village shop if it snows and last year the girls rode the horses in the snow to get shopping:

That sounds like a plan.......Go horse back! Looks like the weather man was wrong because it has warmed up a little and now we have freezing rain. It's suppose to be clear and cold by tomorrow!
Hey, I got the pictures uploaded and on a new page so I'll post them in the Dog section now. I'll post one or two of the pics and the link to the rest....

andrew and i walked to Walmart yesterday to cash my check and get my lot rent money order, and picked up some needed items, it was cold, and snow depths varied to ankle to knees in spots. It was hard going, but I had to to be able to feed the birds, and pay for my lot for the month. my tennis shoes where soaked so had to go and dry out on the dryer, and my legs where so cold I could not feel them for a while. i guess that was a blessing because later in the evening I had to use my walker to get around the house from the pain i was in. took a pain pill too.

OMGosh! Did we have a storm last night and this afternoon! I was on the forum earlier when all the power went out because of the high winds and rain, hail etc. we're having here. The winds are in the 80's I'm told on the coast and I believe 50's or 60's here! Anyway, my outside decorations are all over the place with garbage and cans up and down the streets and the weather man is saying we're not done yet! Another major storm is coming tomorrow! That's what I hate about December here in Washington, the weather is So unpredictable! One week it's pouring rain with high winds and the next week we're snow bound. The temps are ranging in the lower 40's during the day and 30's at night in my area.
