So far we have lost 4 of the babies; 3 escaped and became breakfast for something; the other I found dead in the cage;the trouble is the big ones are so clumsy; I'm frightened to let them all out together; so we keep the babies in another cage for the night and transfer them in the morning to another larger cage; and then back to the smaller one for the night: by the way; I found one of the smallest eggs ever:its no more than 1 inch in diameter;don't know which one layed it: should be interesting to see what is inside;

They have to be getting pretty big by now! Do you have any resent pictures of the babies? I wonder if a stray bird got into your nest and laid that small egg? Who knows, maybe it will turn out to be a Robin or some other type of bird? Got any pictures of the small egg too?
