ok drum roll please just a bit of an introduction 1st. i own a 15 month old dutch bred filly (conceived in holland but born in scotland) her dam was imported and was jumping 1m20 about 7 weeks prior to her giving birth my ex boss bought her with the view to foaling her, then bringing her on and selling. they arrived at our yard when my filly was 4 weeks old (they had her foal elsewhere as we had no stables built by that point) and she was virtually unhandled. the dam was a 1st time mum and VERY protective of her foal, so the important handling from day 1 never happened. anyway i gained both their trusts, and halter broke her, handled her, basically got her to accept people and enjoy their company. her dam was sold once my filly was 4 months old. i personally wouldn't have weaned so early but my boss wanted her money back plus profit from her dam's sale. i was then offered the chance to buy the foal, and the rest is history. i actually wanted to buy the dam, but at £7000, there was no way some baby pics 1st

that's fab, love to see some pics of your baby i'm not sure about my plans, heart over ruled head in me buying her. she's gonna make a fab show jumper, even if she just takes after her dam. i don't jump much now as i've turned into a bit of a wimp. but i've got a few years to wait and see. if she suits as a general riding horse, then i'll be keeping her and having someone else compete her (already have several people who want to do it who knew her dam) i plan on backing her once she's 3-4 depending on how she matures. she's mostly warmblood, as you probably know they are slow maturers. so just gonna take my time with her and go at her pace, mentally and physically i reckon he is the sire too. i'm so impatient, i want to know now. i've waited nearly a year for this. took me long enough to find out who i needed to contact regarding dna as she has no breeding papers of course

she was called Chaos not really fitting for such a pretty little thing so my old boss kinda changed it. i kept it as i don't really like to change a horses name, and i like it. doubt there's another with the same name

thanks Connie ;D i was heart broken i couldn't buy her mum, my ex boss kept me hanging for about 2 weeks as to what kind of money they would've been looking for her. i really thought she was going to be my horse. Kao is becoming more like her mum all the time, and we have a special bond, which is amazing ;D
