before clicking on the link please be warned, this lady who does the blog is very out spoken and does use the odd bit of swearing. also some of the pictures may be upsetting. fuglyhorseoftheday.blogspot.com/i follow this blog daily, even tho i'm not in america, as a lot of what she talks about is a world wide problem. the 1st story just shows how perilous loaning a horse out can be, and why if i ever do it, i'll make sure i can go out and check the welfare of the horse with my own eyes at least every few months. i do understand that hoarding is a type of mental illness, so it's a tricky subject. poor horses tho

I don't even have to look at this because I know what goes on here in America with some horse owners and I'm Appalled! I've seen So much on the news about this and it just makes me sick to watch! Thank God our Government is finally doing something about this inhumane treatment of horses along with the inhumane treated of other animals in the states.

yup unfortunately the ban on horse slaughter in the US now means a very long journey for the poor horses to canada or mexico, which aren't regulated as such, so who knows if they even have a decent end
