Hi, nothing been happening much lately, except we had a visit from the gendarmes yesterday: evidently one of our neighbours had complained about the dogs barking; they are usually out on the balcony most of the day and if anyone walks past with another dog they bark:they don't wander the streets like a lot of the dogs in the villages .we'd already bought an anti-barking collar for the pup, but it dosen't seem to do much good; so we've sent off for 3more; Do any of you have a suggestion what else we can do? Other dogs foul our garden; or chase the chickens; and our dogs bark; so what! most dogs bark some time or another; they don't bark all day:Today has been very hot; so we left the doors open and they could stay inside or go out;

Like you said ~ dogs do bark ~ that's how they communicate with each other I bought those bark collars for Buddy & Scruffy a long time ago because of the barking they do "at everything" (small dogs seem to bark more than the larger breeds.) Anyway, the bark collars seem to control the barking when they are worn but you don't want to leave them on your dogs on a continuous basis. Buddy & Scruffy wear theirs for an hour or so when they are really crazy with barking and this seems to calm them down so they don't bark as often now. The dogs are actually scared of the collars now! When they start barking, all I have to do is show them the collars and they stop!!! This is a training device that seems to be working with Buddy & Scruffy! Good Luck with your dogs!! Tell the neighbors to keep their dogs out of your yard too! BTW ~ are there any leash laws in France for dogs to keep them off of other neighbors property??

Can you not tech them to howl the Coronation Street theme tune...... really give your neighbours something to complain about
