My poor little Buddy He's sure had a time of it, being sick and all I took Buddy in to see Dr Tate again today along with Lucy, my guinea pig who's under the weather too When it rains it sure does pour Some good news and not so good news came out of this visit. It seems Buddy doesn't have the high red cell count and his blood levels are normal But, he has a back injury which was masked by his urinary infection the last time he was sick. I guess it was caused by jumping off the couch and my bed in particular, which has a pillow top mattress. This makes the bed too high off the floor for Buddy to jump off, so now I have to make sure he doesn't get on the bed anymore. That's not going to be easy to do since he likes sleeping on my bed. He'll just have to learn to sleep on his own bed beside me on the floor I guess Dr Tate gave Buddy an inflammatory called Deramaxx. Buddy takes one tablet a day for 10 days and hopefully feels much better after the 10 days. The doctor said no activity for him at all while he's recuperating, just rest. Scruffy won't even be able to play with Buddy! I can't take him for walks or anything Well, at least Buddy should be finally OK after all this Thank Goodness!

Yes, for sure I don't think I would be able to afford another long bout of illness with Buddy The insurance I had put a stop to that

Sorry to here about Buddy again, but at least he will get better for sure this time.
Did you know that you can get some stairs for Buddy to use to get on and off the bed or the couch? They would allow him to keep the lifestyle that he is used to and make both of you very happy. Of course you would more then likely have to train him to use them religously.
