thanks and according to the French , they can't ride! I'd like to ride; did a bit in Arizona but all our horses are too unpredictable for me being ex-race horses:even our old horse likes to take off: I need something I can be sure does nothing faster than a slow walk: Its a long drop off and I don't bounce so well now!

The French obviously don't have a clue about riding skills Your daughters can obviously ride! As far as riding a horse myself, I'm with you on wanting to take it slow and easy. The horses back here in the pasture are slow riders. I guess they're Quarter horses according to the owner. There's pictures of the owners in their western gear on horse back in this Category under "Neighbors Horses."
