Also known as Utah Animal Assited Therapy Association. But I think I'll stick with UAATA. ; ) This association trains animals and their owners to go into care centers and hospitals and let people hold and pet your animal. This is the rat I'm training. His name is Micah.  We are going to be taking the test to be accepted on Saturday! What you have to do in the test is sit, stay, not react to dogs, etc. None of the instructors at the all day seminar knew what the requiredments are for the rats, so we're kind of winging it. This is my sweetest, calmest rattie though, so I think we'll be fine. Nobody knows the requirements because I'm the first person with rats to do this in Utah! Isn't that cool? Well, wish me luck on our test! |

Your Dog Harry is So Cute! Dar and Micah are really cute too! Good Luck on all them testing for the UAATA! I think that's So Cool you have a program like that with animals for hospitals and care centers. it's been well known that animals are Very Good Therapy for the sick and elderly. So ~ I hope Harry, Dar and Micah are all accepted! ;D

Turns out that there was a scheduling problem and only Harry and Micah will be taking the test. Oh well. I think it will still be fun.

Ok. The test was on Saturday and Harry didn't make it. Micah passed with flying colors though! Everyone loved him!

We took Micah to the vet today and got the necessary paperwork filled out. I'm going to take the picture for the ID card tomorrow when I have time to do makeup and dress nice.
We're almost ready to get going!

So your taking the picture for the ID I take it? It would be nice if we could all see your picture too! You can post it in the members Category under "What do we look like" at least I think that's what the title is? That way Only our members can see you (:

& Welcome! As you can see this forum looks a little different than it did before due to an upgrade from V4 to V5....not sure I like the way it looks now so I will work on some tweaking to make it look better..Please bare with me as I make changes
