I'd love to own a Parrot! They're such beautiful birds and you can teach them to talk too! Sadly, because my Husband works for a Dairy Farm, we aren't allowed to own a bird of any kind. I think it might have something to do with the dreaded "Bird Flu"

When I was young though, we owned a cute parakeet, we named him Perry. Perry was so smart! My Dad actually taught him how to say words and ride on my dog, Tippy's back. Perry would eat breakfast with my Dad every morning. It was the coolest thing to watch!

I would love ot have some finches or something small, but OMG I totally forgot about bird flu. Maybe someday I will have a bird or 2 at home.

Yep, the bird flu! That's kind of scary if you think about it. Wouldn't it be horrible if because of the bird flu all birds had to be destroyed? I just shudder at the thought of it.

On a much happier note I wanted to mention that my Mom owned a finch for over 11 years. Her name was Sugar, she was so cute! Finches are very sweet birds.

Right now the only birds I have are at my bird feeders. I love watching them and especially the little chickadees!

OMG that would be a disaster.

I have the same only birds feeding outdoors, which is probably better for the birds anyway then being indoors and in a cage. At least I can see them at the window eating.

yep, that's how I feel about it too! At least we have birds, maybe outside but that's OK too!
