Well, I've been putting it off long enough! It's time for me to get busy before Thursday when I have the 'Big' dinner for 'Thanksgiving.' Today, I have to clean 3 large aquariums, clean the house, go shopping for the things I forgot, do laundry (hopefully) before taking my son to work at 6:00 PM then picking him up from work at 2:00 AM Then on Tuesday and Wednesday........get all the pies, salads, dressing etc. prepared before having to make a run to Lacey to pick up my son Tad at St. Martin's University.....Whew, I'm exhausted just thinking about it Thursday, it get up at the crack of Dawn to stuff the turkey and pop it in the oven not to mention everything else that still needs to be prepared so dinners ready by 2:00PM It sure is a major chore but "I really don't mind" Thanksgiving is the first day out of the whole year all my family comes together so that makes all the hard effort worth it!

Well, sounds like you are busy busy busy. But I know you will have a great Thanksgiving. My sis and her hubby has decided to kidnap us for the holiday, so we are at their mercy as to when we come home. I told them Jack had to come along too if they are getting us on the morning, but they where against it. HA HA he is going to be tagging along anyway. There is no way he would stay at home alone all day and more then likely until after dark without going out. He would think I left him for good, and he just started acting like a regular dog after living here for almost a year.

do you have big christmas's or do you leave it to Thanksgiving: Christmas is enough for me; mind you its pretty quiet now; just like any other weekend really, only the four of us: mind you last year our french friends invited us to dinner a few days before and we exchanged presents on Christmas day; over here Christmas Eve is the big day; all the family get together for a meal and then all open the presents at midnight; but boxing day isn't a holiday here:

Jack's part of your family now and should be included in all the festivities! Lucky You not having to cook a Big Dinner!

The weekend after Thanksgiving we usually start the decorating, inside and outside! This is when I'm really going to get busy with shopping, decorations, wrapping presents, preparing food etc., etc. I'll try to post pictures of our decorations this year. This is a very busy time of the year and I just Love it!
