had a couple of storms this week; the first one on Wednesday was pretty tame, but the one on Thursday was a bit too much; Tom and I had just gone to our neighbours to pick some vegetables when the sky got blacker and blacker; we managed to pick a few veg when the heavens opened; the wind; rain; thunder and lightening all went into overload; as our friends live on top of the hill; it was quite awe inspiring; the river that runs through our field looks like thr rapids;have to make sure the dogs don't go in there for a few days or they'll be swept away: Today; the sun is shining;hopefully its will stay for a few days:

Wow pelly! It sounds like you got caught in a Big one! The weather in France is as crazy as ours in the US these days......! One day it's nice and warm with the sun shinning bright.....then the next day a snow storm rolls in....wierd! That's what Global warming is I guess

Yes; we've had 3 storms this week;but they usually come all in a couple of weeks; mind you yesterday it reached 40o in the sun; but only had a little storm,, not quite over us; more over the village; people actually took canoes down the river yesterday; talk about shooting the rapids! we left Britain hoping to get away from all the mud; wind and rain; its a lot better here than in england; and we do know we will have some summer: it snowed in England only last week:
