just wanted to post a few pics of the mangy mutts i have a black lab called jazz and we are caretakers of a great dane called skyler. she was given to us, then my friend decided her life had changed and so she wanted her back, and that was over a month ago, and now we haven't heard anything from her.......i could go on. basically we've had her since early feb, she was about 16 weeks old then. we still have her, she's supposed to be heading off to the states, still not heard a thing. very frustrating!!! anyway here they are scarey rabid dog with shadow our kitten curled up (excuse the mess, i didn't have time to tidy before taking that picture in case they all got up)

thanks Connie i have to say it is so much nicer when it's your own dog that's slowly chewing up your house, compared with it being someone else's skyler gets a good walk inc off the lead run around, she has chews and toys to play with, plus Jazz for company when we are out of the house. she will still find something to chew on. yesterday she got our wall clock! a few days before it was my brand new sun glasses (not that we've had any sun lately ) she's also ripped a huge hole in her sofa bed (she sleeps on a sofa bed as she's so huge)

Skyler looks HUGE compared to my little doggies......hehehe! Even though my dogs are small, I have a chewing problem with Buddy! Buddy likes to chew anything that's cloth, like towels, my hubbies jeans, socks, Scruffy's toys (Scruffy actually plays with his toys but Buddy eats them), fringed rugs are a favorite of Buddy's things to chew up! I have to make sure nothing is left on the floor for him to chew up....hehehe! I certainly Do know what ya mean though .... it's a lot easier when it's your own dog doing this instead of someone else's. Buddy with one of the toys on his head that he eventually chewed up.....hehehe

awwww but with a look like that i bet you melted i've noticed with skyler that she likes to mouth things. we have a dog bed on the floor next to her sofa bed and she pulls the blanket out of there and lies with it in her mouth. it's like she's got a blankie or something. as for the destroying things, i hope she grows out of it. she's not a year old until novemeber. it's easy to forget she's still just a puppy as she's so huge. she's about 6ft tall when she stands up on her hind legs and she must weigh around 10 stone.

Yeah, Buddy sure does now how to get to me, he's certainly a charmer The blankie thing with Skyler sounds So darn Cute! Reminds me of my daughter when she was a little girl carrying her blankie all over the house. A Big dog doing that sounds So precious and I bet it's a site to see! You should try to get a pic of her doing that with the blankie sometime

the times i've caught her on camera, it's been late at night and my camera is pretty rubbish , so the pictures haven't turned out very well. this is 1 of her when she slept in a crate. once she out grew it we got her a massive sofa bed she undid her big pillow and mouthed on the inside of it

Ohhhhh, but what a Sweet face How can you resist that face? Poor baby can't help that she just likes to chew, she's still a puppy.................hehehe! Have you ever thought about Obedience training for her? I should have done that with Buddy when he was younger and then maybe I wouldn't have the problems I have now with his chewing.

that could well be the answer Connie. i work evenings tho so it's hard to fit things in then. plus if she was our dog i'd be happy to try and squeeze in some training classes, even see about 1 day a fortnight or something getting finished up early, but she's not i'm kind of stuck in limbo right now until her owner finally decides what she's doing
