So sorry to hear about Buddy; do hope things get sorted soon; our thoughts are with you;our old Jack Russell had those problems once and we found he'd eaten a pair of pantyhose; he had to have 1/2 his bowel removed; was on life support for 3 days; but made complete recovery and went on to qualify for a Championship showing show:

OMG! That's SO awful! Poor little puppy! But So happy he recovered and was able to do the Dog Show You know, Buddy has the habit of eating the fringe on rugs and eating holes in my husbands jeans. He hasn't done that in a while though and my husband has finally started keeping his jeans off the floor so Buddy can't get to them As a matter of fact, that was the first thing the Vet asked, "is Buddy eating fringe again?" Of course he hasn't, to my knowledge but maybe he should be checked on that to make sure Buddy still won't go pee unless I coax him by leading him around the yard on his leash. He's still favoring his back leg and he's finished all the inflammatory medicine. Monday, it's back to the vet for more tests

I hope that the tests finally find out what is causing him problems and they can get him all fixed up.

I hope that the tests finally find out what is causing him problems and they can get him all fixed up. Yeah, me too! Tomorrow I'm going to gone all day. I'm taking a drive to Tad's College (Saint Martin's University) early in the morning. They have a family get together for Freshman's and Tad will be staying there for 2 weeks. It's for a pre College for Freshmen to get them used to living in a dorm. Anyway, I'm hoping my husband, Larry can take care of Buddy with no problems. Larry and Buddy don't like each other much and I'm hoping everything goes well while I'm gone. I guess I'll just have to call once in a while on my cell phone to make sure all is well

Larry actually got Buddy to go potty today ;D When I came home Buddy was all over me until I gave him his treat and then it was back under the bed until my daughter showed up at the house. He was SO happy to see her for a minute and then back under the bed again I will be calling the Vet tomorrow to set up more tests to once and for all get to the bottom of this

Hi Connie, If he doesn't get better, I think you should talk to Rita. Maybe you should take him to Tahoma Vet. How old is Buddy now? I know he isn't too old. I will say a prayer for him..............

Buddy turned 5 years old on May 25th. I might consider talking to Rita if the hospital I'm taking Buddy to doesn't help him soon. I'd like Buddy to see another Vet (a doctor Tate) at the South Hill Veterinary Hospital but he's only in on Thursday's. He comes to this hospital because he's an Exotic Specialist. (I believe he's at another hospital the rest of the week but I don't know where.) I talked to him on the phone last Thursday about Buddy's symptoms after Buddy had already seen the other Vet. Dr Tate seemed to think Buddy might have a back problem with his symptoms but he would need to be examined with more tests and ex rayed again. I'll try to set up an appointment with him tomorrow for Thursday. I'd also like to ask him about the prostate to see if that might be his problem. Thank You for the prayer we sure need it

You might want to ask if it is possible that he might have bladder stones. That would make it difficult to urinate. I sure hope he will be ok, the poor little fellow! I will continue to pray for him..............................

Thanks Karen I'll be sure to ask the vet about bladder stones! I don't remember who but someone else mentioned that possibility to me

I made an appointment for Buddy to see Dr. Tate tomorrow. The appt. isn't till the afternoon so I'll let you all know the results when I get back. I noticed this morning that Buddy either licked or ate almost all the hair off his front paws and legs during the night. If you saw his July 4th picture you can see he once had very fluffy paws and legs Karen told me it might be allergies. Allergies from what though, his antibiotics I just don't know what to make of any of this but I'm hoping Dr. Tate will get to the bottom of what's ailing Buddy
